Rain

Sitting under the shelter Of the porch, I watch the rain pour Down, quite heavily.

I simply gaze at it, pouring; Listen to its sound, As it splashes, On the floor, on the leaves Of the tree in front. And, the flowers reflect their freshness, As the grass looks greener.

Just wish, this moment to linger, With myself engrossed in its peace, Its calmness, its coolness, Feeling the freshness around, Leaving all the worries behind; Just relaxing my body, And soothing my soul.

It slows a bit now, As a group of birds flies over. I stand and walk in it, Feeling the cool drops On my body, with a Gentle breeze, now flowing, Arising a funny feeling inside.

Now almost a drizzle, It tires towards its end; A gentle roar just confirms it, As I walk back leaving that serenity.
